§ 86-5. Reference of petitions and communications to Committee on Lights; investigation and recommendations to Council; notice to District Commissioners of action of Council.

All petitions and communications to the Council relative to public lighting, within the limits of the Fourth Taxing District, shall be referred by the Council to the Committee on Lights for investigation, and such Committee on Lights shall make such investigation in connection therewith as it may deem necessary and shall report the result of such investigation to the Council, together with such recommendations as it may deem appropriate. The Council shall take immediate action on such recommendations, and the City Clerk shall forthwith communicate the action of the Council to the District Commissioner of the district affected or concerned by such petition or communication, investigation and recommendations.
